I read the Kien Mandara by Setouchi Jyakuicho (瀬戸内寂聴).

This time essay is about Kawabata Yasunari（川端康成).
He was born in 1899 in osaka .
I read "Sound of Mountain"　and "sleeping beauty "before.

Author Setouchi Jyakucho (86years old writter and buddist.
she became a priest after so many love affair) wrote this Essay about relation with
many people. This time is about Kawabata Yasunari.
They start their relation in work for association of building monumet for Okamoto kanoko
(Writter in early 20th. She had many love affair also.I bever read her novel yet.)

Kawabata was her novel master.Jakucho had her novel "kanoko ryoran".
Monument named "proud" was made by Okamoto Taro.He is very popular artist
and her son. And Jyakucho said Kawabata made very hartfull speech .

Oneday She went to his house. She saw the popular Shotokutaishi
statue(聖徳太子立像) in his house.
There was a buffe's picture too. He said it's just trial from picture dealer.
And he said lightly he bought ryokan's(良寛）drawing picture.

Anotherday she saw jewel marchant in his reception room.
Marchant showed many jewels in his skin trunk.
He bought ten jewels daimond,saphire,emerard and ruby with blliliance.
She was shocked and knew top novelist is so rich.

Few years after he started to make tale of genji modern japanese transelation
in his last years.
There were already three modern tale of genji.
(1.与謝野晶子:Yosano Akiko,2.谷崎潤一郎:Tanizaki Jyunichiro and 3.円地文子:Enchi Fumiko)
He said "Yosano-Akiko's Genji is best. because it's simple.
Tanizaki's genji is similar to original.
Enchi's genji is another novel It's a her new novel."

It was few years after getting novel prize in 1968.
Enchi put her life on the line to finish her modern manuscript of genji tale.
It made her hospitalize many time. Enchi said her with some anger.
"This work for genji is really hard . I risk my life.
He can't finish it because novel prize must indulge him.
I will streake in ginza if he can have finished his work."
Jakucho said it was something pretty in spite of her excitement.

Few years after he killed himself in 1972 .
There are many manuscript.But It's only explanation script for complete works
of okamoto kanoko. There were no manuscript of new genji tale in his workroom.

I saw the kawabata collection in former suntory museum in akasaka.
I aim to see shyotokutaishi ritsuzo .I felt it was slim than I thought.
There is a novel prize diplomas with many cranes illustration.It's cool.
I thought novelist is not rich but top novelist can have such a many antique.
I was suprised like Jyakucho.
Actually He had much debt but debt colletor couldn't say him because of his dignity.
He discovered kusama-yayoi. I saw her red fireball picture with something small.
It was named shiranui. Shiranui means mirage of fisherman's light in ariakke sea.
It had been believed as ghost on shore long time.
Someday I would like to get favorite arts.Now I will go museum tommorow with my wife.
